Activity Centre Lauwersnest is the ideal starting point for a visit to National Park Lauwersmeer. In and around the activity centre, you will find everything about birds and Dark Sky.
Here, for instance, you can find out how migratory birds use Lauwersmeer as a refuelling station in the East Atlantic migration route. Or delve into the secrets of the night and become a star in the darkness. From the centre, you can walk straight into nature. You will find several walking routes and it is starting point for excursions.
Next to the centre is the nest-building forest where children can build their own nest using nature materials and have fun playing. In the shop you will find maps, routes, books and maps, of course about birds and Dark Sky.
